Travel Tips DEMO

Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, there are many things you can do to make your experience more enjoyable. Preparation is the key to enjoying your time away from home, no matter what the circumstances may be. There are things you should do before and during your trip; let’s take a look at each area.

Planning For Your Trip

Before you leave on a vacation or business trip:

Mail & newspapers: Ask a trusted neighbor or friend to collect your mail and newspapers, or setup a vacation hold. Also, if possible, ask a friend or neighbor to keep an eye on your home while you are away. Leave a copy of your itinerary with this person as well.

Travel Documents: Bring all of your travel confirmations with you in a folder, including important phone numbers for your travel agent, hotels, car rental companies, etc.

Airports: If you are flying, confirm all flight departures as well as any type of traffic delay, estimated parking changes or estimated security gate wait times. Check in to your flight online if possible. Not only will you keep from being bumped from a flight, but you will pay less on your baggage fees (when applicable). If you are flying, get to the airport early.

Driving: If you are driving to your destination, leave enough time for bathroom and eating breaks before reaching your destination. Be sure to fill your gas tank and plan your route ahead of time.
